This is 💯 correct. A sad reality. I'm choosing to live a healthy lifestyle and have stopped using the so called "healthcare" system. It's just a money scheme that leverages people's fear.

The word greed doesn't describe this. It implies that there is a limit at some point to what even the most blackhearted bastards will steal. And thank you, government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Where are our new revolutionarries? Where?

You just answered your own question. They are all systems we need. It grieves me deeply to see the wonders of a hard-working capitalistic system increasingly burying the inherent fairness and decency of most people. We throw darts at rich folks while we're screwing the poor and middle class.

You're so right and it's maddening. Currently my husband and I are paying $3200 a month for coverage THAT WE CAN'T EVEN USE because of some internal mixups. I wish I knew what to do. Lighting my hair on fire doesn't seem like it will help, but the temptation is strong. But that's not confined to this issue. Gah. It's hard being a person these days.

It is insane…but lighting hair on fire almost seems like a solution…I was in a conversation today and the dude said…if you dont have the right people around you are systems in place…then life will eat you up…because its so hard just to survive…

Classical Athens solved the problem of political corruption with one easy trick. They used lottery to pick an official, then audit him before and after his term. Also, everyone is termed out after two (rare) terms. Imagine a Congress like this where no corporation could buy them through funding election campaigns.
